Check Out the Route 66 Summerfest Fun this Weekend!
If you're already looking toward the weekend, The Lodges at Rolla is excited to share with you information about a wonderful event that takes place in Downtown Rolla each year. Come out and celebrate the legacy of “The Mother Road” in Downtown Rolla. This is the 26th year for this event. Get details and the event schedules for Friday and Saturday below!
It was originally started to promote Downtown Rolla but has evolved into an area wide celebration for all ages to promote Old Route 66 and the beginning of summer. Activities to include a car show, bike ride, arts and crafts, dog contest, motorcycle show, downhill derby competition and a street dance with a live band. A food court will be available to purchase food. This event is free and open to the public.
Friday • July 10th
Friday night kicks off Summerfest with a cruise down Route 66 from St. James to Rolla and the first round of the tennis tournament. The activities begin in the festival lot in Downtown Rolla with the Miss “Route 66” pageant, Drummers Competition and Movie Under the Stars.
Saturday • July 11th
Saturday starts bright and early at 8 am with the Car Show lining up on Pine Street in Downtown Rolla. The Arts & Crafts booths open at 9am along with the food vendors, kids activities and skateboard park, the famous “burnout contest” at 6pm and the street dance at 8pm. There are many other events all throughout the day.
